Items I recommend for cruising.

For those that are new to cruising, or those that have taken cruises before but haven't purchased these items, I wanted to share what we do to prepare and use on our cruises.

Prior to every cruise, we like to boost our immune systems. To boost our systems, we have turned to Airborne gummies. We each take 3 gummies a day for 12 days prior to the cruise. You only need to purchase 1 bottle prior to each cruise to do the same as we do. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Luggage: We use to have the standard navy-blue cloth luggage set and years ago it took us awhile to be able to find our bags among the hundreds of other bags that looked just like ours. We ended up switching to a hard case luggage set with spinning wheels that makes dragging our bags a lot easier, and now we can spot our luggage immediately when we are in the baggage claim area. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Many of the cabins don't have enough power outlets to be able to charge your devices and/or plug in any medical devices you may need. I use a CPAP and that took away one of the power outlets, and some cabins may only have 1 outlet available. You will notice however that every cabin will have at least 1 220 volt outlet also. A couple of years ago I purchased a power converter so I could plug my CPAP into one of the 220 volt outlets (You may need an extension cord as well to reach from the outlet to the nightstand, and I recommend bringing your own as the ship only has a limited number and there may be others that have requested one). Here is the power converter I have. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

For people that like to snorkel, you can rent gear at many of the beaches, or if you are doing an excursion they will supply you with the gear. If you have ever used a traditional face mask for snorkeling, you know that they tend to fog up a lot making visibility really horrible. I also hate putting my mouth on a snorkel that hundreds or thousands of other people have put their mouths on before me. Who knows if they were properly disinfected prior to be given to me. To avoid all of that, I have purchased a full face snorkeling mask. The mask will not fog up and the snorkel is built into the mask so there is nothing to put your mouth on. They are much easier to use. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Full Face Snorkeling Mask

In addition to getting the full face snorkeling mask, I recommend getting your own snorkeling vest if you plan on using one. For people that can swim just fine, I still recommend getting one. I swim like a fish, but it is nice to have the vest that you can inflate so you can simply float while snorkeling without using a lot of energy. The reason I recommend getting your own is so you don't have to place your mouth on the air tube in order to inflate the vest that a lot of other people have placed their mouths on. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

When we first started cruising, I would fold the luggage tags along the dotted lines, then staple them at the end, then tape them with packing tape just to make sure they didn't get ripped off. Then I seen on one of the cruises that someone had luggage tag holders on their luggage so I came home and found them and ordered them. If you are one of my customers then I will order them for you and send them to you prior to your cruise, but for those that check out my page and don't book through me I'll provide a link for them. When you are about to order, there are 2 different sizes available. The ones for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are thinner than the ones for all of the other cruise lines, but I recommend getting the other ones instead as it doesn't limit you to just Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, and the Royal Caribbean/Celebrity tags will fit inside of them as well. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Another item you might like to purchase is a dry bag. The link I am providing has a variety of colors and sizes available. A dry bag is a waterproof bag to keep your items dry when you are in and around the water. If you are doing an excursion where your belongings might get wet, it is good to have one of these to keep certain items dry. We normally bring pack a dry set of clothing to change into when we do snorkeling excursions. I will also through my wallet and other belongings inside the bag during our excursions. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

If you have been on a cruise before and like to layout by the pool, you know how breezy it gets on the pool deck, and how hard it is to keep your pool towel on your chair when you get up to dip in the pool or hot tub. To keep your towel from blowing off your chair, I recommend taking towel clips with you. They have generic ones available as well, but I am posting ones that look tropical. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

If you are at a beach and wonder what to do with your valuables (wallet, cash, credit cards, Cruise Card, keys, cell phones, etc) while you are in the water, then you need one of these safes. I'm going to share two of them that are similar. The first one is more stylish in my opinion and will not hold as much. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
